Music translation

As a truly universal language, music has no call for translation. But when it comes to music-related copy, translation can well be said to be an art in itself, conveying the full spectrum of emotions while grounded firmly in the specialist academic knowledge that can only come from years of practical and theoretical experience.

I set up RBL English Translation & Proofreading Services in 2001 primarily with a view to serving the needs of customers in the music sector. As a trained musician with a firm grounding in music history and theory, I now provide translation services throughout the Austrian music community, and my customer base includes international musicological societies, music festival organisers and the editorial offices of opera houses.
