My name is Rosemary Bridger-Lippe and I am an English freelance translator and proofreader based near Vienna, Austria.

As is appropriate for a music translation specialist, my academic background is equal parts languages and music. I was educated for eight years at a specialist music school in England and subsequently studied Music and German at the University of Birmingham and piano at Birmingham Conservatoire. I also play the harpsichord and viola and have sung in many different amateur and semi-professional choirs in England, Germany and Austria.

After graduating in German Studies and Music from the University of Birmingham in 1992, I moved to Cologne, Germany, where I joined a translation and multimedia agency, working in-house as a translator and proofreader and later joining the management team. I established my own company just outside Vienna when I left Cologne in 2001 and have since become known across Austria for both music and business translation. Having interacted on a daily basis with customers from a wide cross section of industries, I know exactly what is needed. And, with fifteen years of experience as a translator and proofreader to draw on, I know how to provide it too.

Feedback from my customers confirms that they see me as their first choice for translations and – as a proofreader – their last line of defence against typographical errors.
